MARKETING EXECUTIVE – PART-TIME

Community Games is an independent voluntary organisation, operating in
local communities throughout Ireland. We aim to provide opportunities
for children and young people aged 6 to * years
to develop active healthy lives in a safe environment through
experiencing a wide range of sporting and cultural activities.

As Marketing Executive for Community Games, you will play a pivotal
role in supporting the marketing initiatives and overall success of
our events. This position requires a creative and organised individual
with strong communication skills, a keen eye for design, and the
ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

WORKING HOURS/SALARY:

* hours a week spread over 3/4 days with

*.5 hours). This is a 1 year-fixed contract
(pending successful completion of a 6-month probation period). Some
weekend work and evening work may be required on occasion.

LOCATION: Athlone/Hybrid

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE ADMINISTRATION:

* Update and maintain our social media platforms and website with
engaging and relevant content.
* Monitor community interactions (listening), respond to comments,
and foster a positive online environment.
* Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and execute
social media strategies.
* Report on social media and website interaction using google
analytics and other tools such as FB Insights.

MARKETING CALENDAR IMPLEMENTATION:

* Assist in the execution of the marketing calendar, ensuring timely
promotion of events and activities.
* Coordinate with the Commercial and Marketing Manager to align
marketing efforts with sponsorship activities.

COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING:

* Implement communication plans to effectively reach and engage our
community.
* Work closely with the team to ensure consistent messaging across
all channels – both to an internal and external audience.

BRAND MONITORING:

* Ensure that all our counties and areas are using the correct
branding
* Maintain a database of all county and area social media pages and
monitor regularly

GRAPHIC DESIGN AND CONTENT CREATION:

* Create visually appealing graphics and content for online and
offline marketing materials.
* Collaborate with the design team to maintain a cohesive and
recognizable brand identity.

EVENT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT:

* Assist with support at our weekend National Events (apx 6 in
*)
* Assist with Volunteer Awards, AGM and any other initiatives at the
direction of the CEO

PR/PHOTOSHOOTS AND LAUNCHES:

* Work with our media partners to co-ordinate newspaper supplements
including the recording and publishing of results
* Assist in the coordination and execution of photoshoots for
promotional materials.
* Be present at launches and other events to capture content and
ensure smooth operations.
* Work with agencies and sponsors to deliver and measure key
messaging
* Draft and distribute press releases to media outlets, keeping the
public informed about upcoming events and achievements.
* Build and maintain relationships with relevant media contacts.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

We're looking for a dynamic Marketing Executive with a qualification
in Marketing or equivalent experience, preferably in arts, sports
and/or entertainment. Essential skills include strong graphic design
capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid
understanding of social media trends. The ideal candidate thrives in a
fast-paced environment, demonstrates proactive problem-solving, and
can work independently and collaboratively. Ideally the candidate will
have experience in event coordination, press releases and content
creation.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field,
or equivalent practical experience.
* Excellent organisational skills with proven attention to detail
* Ability to build positive relationship with a variety of people
from different backgrounds
* Experience of managing multiple stakeholders with diverse
interests and priorities
* Strong graphic design abilities using Canva or Adobe
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A keen understanding of social media platforms and trends.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive attitude and adept at solving challenges.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Proficient in drafting and distributing press releases.
* Adept at fostering positive online community engagement.
* Diplomacy and negotiation skills
* Experience of providing logistical support, e.g. arranging
meetings, photoshoots, venues, catering etc.
* Competent use of Microsoft Office suite of products including
Outlook, Word and Excel
* Knowledge of the community and voluntary sector
